I think it’s very telling, a little aggravating, and tremendously arrogant, that you consider the money flowing to D.C. from Fairfield Co. “our” money. Why should you be entitled to the benefits from that any more than someone in any other state?

I think my dog would stand a good chance against Shays, particularly in a Presidential year.

Shays and Bush are about to be held to account on Iraq, and it’s not going to be pretty for the GOP in New England.

But go ahead and understimate Jim Himes. Something tells me Shays isn’t!

If Shays needs much money to beat whoever the Dems come up with to challenge him, then he will not have a problem raising it. Himes and Lamont would not stand a chance against Shays. If Blumenthal or Malloy decide to run, then perhaps it will get interesting. For now, Shays can be on cruise control. Giuliani will make the race particularly easy for Shays …

Geez Dobb, I’d like to see FFLD Co. get more back in the way of highway dollars. The traffic in southwest Connecticut is a disgrace, and on a productivity basis, it makes no sense. (plenty of economic producers wasting 5-15 hours a week, sitting in traffic. Add it up.)

But do I think the State Income Tax could be a point or two greater on our higher earners? You bet I do.

One case is about us getting out fair share. The other is about us paying our fair share. But don’t have a head-ache trying to figure it all out.

Wait a minute, TrueBlue, I thought that folks in Fairfield County weren’t being taxed enough?!?

I love that comment that is the usual time Nancy Wyman sends out her releases!!!! In her case it’s to let us know the “surplus” has grown!!!! But also that the reckless spending has grown faster!!!
