  My brother in law is a 28 year by line sports writer for the Courant.
  He tells me that most of the Sox are more than happy to work the “rubber chicken circuit” lending their names and any celebrity they enjoy, to various civic, social and charitable events during the off season while other teams often have problems getting their players to cooperate at all.

  Speaks well for the Red Sox.
