A. Scoop – Let them fight amongst themselves. Sen. Dodd is working it hard and all the inside baseball campaign jargen is miniscule when compared to what he is doing in Washington. As this economy comes back to life and people get back to work over the next year and a half, people from Greenwich to Stafford to San Diego will have Chris Dodd to thank.

Foley will be crushed by a real public servant Rob Simmons. The very fact that Foley is from Greenwich is a sign that he is simply an old school Republican not to mention he served directly under George Bush.

In general terms I tend to shrink away from the nuevo WASP, arrogant, self-important lower Fairfield County stuffed shirts – HOWEVER, I’ve met this guy and surprisingly he acts NORMAL.

I was surprised too, but he’s a nice guy.

Look, I challenge you to find one instance where Rob as an elected official stood up to the Bush administration.

And at least Foley is honest about where he’s coming from. (Although his social strata would never admit either Simmons or Waterbury’s Caligiuri.)

Well, Simmons better have a fantastic quarter.

Because Tom Foley is a Bushie who will be able to raise $10 Million or more.

Just so people understand, ex-Ambassador Foley just married Leslie Fahrenkopf, daughter of Frank Fahrenkopf who happened to be RNC chair under President Reagan. (1983-1989). Leslie also is a V-P at Rupert Murdoch’s NewsCorp.
