O’Brien vs. Stewart in New Britain

by Genghis Conn · July 22nd, 2009, 10:30 pm · 6 Comments

In a matchup certain to be one to watch on election night, Rep. Tim O’Brien (D-New Britain) will be facing Mayor Timothy Stewart. O’Brien announced last week, while Stewart announced today.

Stewart has been mayor since 2003, a remarkable feat for a Republican in a heavily Democratic city.

I don’t know why O’Brien is wasting his time, he can’t beat Tim Stweart.

That’s what they told Chris Murphy, btw.

Are you saying O’Brien’s as ethically and morally bankrupt as Murphy?

    Wow!

Maybe you’re right then, it’s possible he could lie his way into higher office the same way!

Here’s a little campaign tip you might want to pass on to him:
Pick up some innocent woman and get her killed somehow or other; other Democrats have found that to be great way to get the sympathy vote.

It’s worked for Teddy for 40 years now and we’re confident that Ted Kennedy Driving Award recipient James O’Rourke will play the same card next year.

    ACR,

Did you just suggest that Murphy, Kennedy and O’Rourke are all responsible for the deaths of innocent people? Even for you this is a little outlandish and irresponsible.

No – Murphy is not responsible for any such thing so far as I know.

He is however, a snake and I would probably believe pretty much anything as it regards him.
You *are* familiar I assume of how he has treated his own most ardent supporters in the past.

Even for you this is a little outlandish and irresponsible.

    “Even for me?”

I didn’t flunk reading comprehension pal – nor do I post anonymously, which I consider totally lacking in accountability.

*are* familiar? What does “*are*” mean?

I’m accountable to those who I need to be accountable. Fortunately that doesn’t include you.

I’ve never found Chris Murphy to be anything but friendly, intelligent and forthcoming. I’m sorry your experience has been less than what you expected.
