NFL Hall of Fame Quarterback Fran Tarkenton endorsed Rob Simmons today, according to Capitol Watch:
The latest celebrity endorsement comes from NFL Hall of Famer Fran Tarkenton, who is supporting former U.S. Rep. Rob Simmons of Stonington. Longtime New York Giants fans remember Tarkenton as the scrambling quarterback and leader of the team from 1967 through 1971 in the classic days of Homer Jones, Tucker Frederickson, and Spider Lockhart.

Heath, I know it happened before you were born, but Google up how many Super Bowls the Minnesota Vikings lost with Fran Trakenton at the helm.
This is THE perfect endorsement for Mr. Simmons.
Off subject I know, but some really good news for a change:

Linda McMahon is Floating a Big Lie!
On her blog she tries to make the argument that she’s given twice as much to Republicans than Democrats over the years, $70,700 to R’s, and $34,100 to D’s.
The only problem is that if you subtract out the $40,900 Linda’s given this year, (only to Republicans of course), her lifetime donations take on this picture:
donated to R’s — $29,800
donated to D’s — $34,100
She must think ya’ll are stupid. And I still want to know why she gave all that $$$ to Senator Mark Warner (D-VA).
Scooper, give it a break dude. It doesn’t matter how much you trash every single Republican candidate your can find. Corrupt Dodd loses to anybody the Republicans run. This race is all about Dodd and he’s history!
We need to make sure that we get the right Republican in there pufnstuf. Anderson is right on this one it seems.
Anyone is better than Dodd, but why settle for anyone when we have 3 good Republicans in this race and Linda isn’t one of them.

FWIW, someone forwarded to me an email, where McMahon’s handlers tried to make it seem that Linda has always given twice as much to Republicans as to Dems.
However if you look at the data which Judy Latina has conveniently posted, you’ll discover that their assertion just isn’t true, as the majority of McMahon’s Republican donations occurred after she decided to run for office.
Bottom line is that before Linda threw her hat into the ring, more of her money went to Democrats!
That’s the simple truth.
And McMahon’s brazen attempt to obfuscate those facts are worth noting.

That’s true.
However she has a far greater problem with some of us that in my case has nothing to do with the income tax etc. but instead with character, or more to the point the bankruptcy thereof; she has Lowell Weicker on her board of directors.
