Ralph Nader, the consumer advocate turned perennial Presidential candidate, is reportedly considering another comeback, this time in Connecticut’s U.S. Senate race:
“You can’t believe the number of people of asking me [to run]… Right now I’d say I’m agnostic,” Nader told me earlier today, asked about rumors he’d run an independent, siphoning off liberal votes Dodd needs.
Mr. Nader, a native of and still a registered voter in Winsted, has run for President five times.
Nader’s entry into the race would pose yet another potential obstacle for incumbent U.S. Sen. Chris Dodd. According to Quinnipiac this week, 59% of unaffiliated voters already say they are displeased with Mr. Dodd’s job performance.
Losing votes on his left in conjunction with unaffiliated ones on his right would be perilous for Senator Dodd’s re-election efforts.

Mr Nader…I am a personal injury lawyer who has always admired you from afar. Please just remain the historic public advocacy person you are and attack corporate america from there.Let the Senate race in Connecticut run it’s course without your candidacy, as you can be far more effective keeping corporate america in check from your Washington DC organizations then you can being in the Senate.
RALPH NADER will visit the West Hartford Public Library on the Fri. after Thanksgiving (Nov. 27). Details here: http://tinyurl.com/whlib-nader
Let’s not gild the proverbial lilly: Ralph Nader is nuttier than squirrel s*t.
He rose to “prominence” on the back of BS about the Corvair … And has made a living peddling the same recycled dog doo ever since.
I love that the far left is so conflicted about Ralph. And I would love to see I’m get in the race, if only to ramp the crazy into 6th gear.
But … Honestly, Ralph, are you THAT freaking tone deaf?

In the immortal words of the only woman alive even more shrill than CT’s current SOT; (so called) Republican Julie Belaga; “I can’t wait!“.
