Two close races in Bolton are having recounts this afternoon. At stake is the race for First Selectman and a seat on the Board of Education. Democrat Leslie Shea finished four votes behind Republican Bruno Simonetti in the First Selectman race, while a Democrat trails a Republican by thirteen votes in the Board of Educaiton race.
Update 6:00pm: According to The Everyday Republican the original result stands, and Simonetti is still the winner.
It’s interesting that Bolton, so long dominated by the GOP, was so close this year.
