I wasn't sure what it was either. I meant to ask Tim when I got the embed code, but forgot.

Is that a beer in front of Dodd?

Serious, the color from the table makes it look like one, at least in the still frame.

Don't forget... Dodd says Foghorn Leg Iron (Sen. Robert Byrd) "would have been right during the Civil War."

Since he was referring to a Klu Klux Klan kleagle, we all knew what he meant there...

Keep in mind that there might be a point in time, such as early January 2008, when it is obvious that Dodd will not win the primary and only one of two or three Dems will win the primary. He might decide that it's worthwhile to endorse one of the potential winners at that time. I think this is a far more likely scenario than for him to stay in through February 5th. Candidates show class when they realize that they've lost and they throw their support behind one of the more likely winners.
what makes a good live blog/guest post? And in the reverse what makes for a lousy live blog/guest post?
Good = when someone answers questions directly and without hesitation (although that is probably limited to video... and even that is difficult)

Bad = when someone punts or dodges the question.

For example...

Q: Red Sox or Yankees?

A: I'm a fan of both teams.

WRONG ANSWER.

Personally, I loved some of the answers provided by Admiral Jim Stockdale in the 1992 Veep debate.

He was asked binary questions. And he gave one word answers.

Even if I disagreed with him, I respected his candor.

Dodd has no reason not to stay in until after the 5th. He'll probably have the money, and that day is going to be absolutely huge and unpredictable.

Unfortunately, Dodd seems to do best when he can actually meet voters. He won't be able to do that for Super Duper Tuesday.

I heard today that Dodd is polling fifth in Iowa. With the front-loaded primary being what it is does CW hold that he will quite after Iowa or will he just stay until Feb 5 because it is right around the corner?
