Check out the live feed from the Dodd campaign below:
We’ll see how he does. We’ll also see if he gets any more time to speak than last time around. Put your thoughts on the debate, should you happen to be watching it, here.
There’s a Republican debate on Tuesday, too, also from New Hampshire. I’m going to try to catch that one–since I missed the last one.
Update: Note this debate clock, from the Dodd campaign. Really interesting. Yay, stuff I can embed in a post!

And they’re on the stage!
CNN is treating this like a sportscast. We’re getting stats on all the candidates, with graphics that look like trading cards.
The picture of Edwards in the Talk Clock makes him look like Cmdr. Data. I don’t know why that is.
The clock works! Obama’s head just moved up a little!
Neat!
I wish Hillary wasn’t such a hawk.
And I loooove the clock.
Edwards just gave props to Dodd!
Obama slams Edwards for being “4 and 1/2 years to late” and then calls on everyone to stop playing politics. wow.
Nice answer from Dodd.
Now Edwards is giving props to Obama. IIRC he was always the nicest guy in the 2004 debates as well.
Why are Biden and Richardson getting so muc more camera time then Dodd? Even Kucinich is hacing more of a presence than our overly-polite Senator?
Sorry, but if Dodd wants respect, he’s going to have to assert himself. If he remains happy to fade into the background, he doesn’t deserve any real consideration.
I agree. Dodd needs to speak up!!!
Nice answer on the language issue from him though.
Been watching for the past 20 minutes…Gravel has spoken 3 times, Dodd once. What gives?

Meanwhile the Blizter head is highest up on the clock!
Everybody loves Bill!
Yeah Melissa. I didn’t get enough of Bill last century, so I can’t wait to vote for Hillary to get eight more years of fantastic Clinton leadership!
CNN loves the Dodd clock!
What’s the Dodd Clock? (I’m on a handheld.)
Please tell me Dodd’s reticence isn’t a game designed to garner pity…
The Dodd clock is tracking the time all the candidates ( and Wolf) spend talking.
Sorry. I know too many people working for the Dodd campaign. I better shut up now before I really offend them. (Did I say Dodd needs to be more aggressive, and that I think the “clock” is a dumb way to get more media attention?)
Kucinich’s question on Bin Laden reminds me why I like him so much.
TBCT I don’t think the Dodd clock helps or hurts Dodd. But it’s a good tool for those of us watching the debate closely.
What to understand that Dodd has run such a timid campaign that the media considers him an also-ran?
Has Dodd acted like someone who believes he really, really wants to be President? At least Richardson has lost a lot of weight…
ps– Dodd would make a heckuva President. Better than the rest. But if he can’t figure out how to win the media wars, he’ll never get a fair shot.
Let’s hope I’m wrong, and this latest attempt to work the press actually works for Dodd.
Interesting stuff with the clock…
I caught the end of this one. Dodd seemed to lack focus, and he didn’t get much airtime. What airtime he did get, he didn’t make the best use of.
The whole debate seemed chaotic. The questions were unsurprisingly terrible. Wolf Blitzer interrupted a lot, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It was hard to get a clear impression of anybody, but here goes:
Obama: Confident, but needs more depth. He can either be mesmerizing or bland. He wavered back and forth between those two poles–mostly staying safe on the bland side.
Hillary: Determination! Eyeballs! She will crush you.
Edwards: Who cares? He’s purty. Also shallow as a puddle.
Biden: At least he’s passionate about Darfur. I respect that. Everyone else seems to write the whole thing off as some nutty cause only celebrities and bleeding hearts care about. Genocide is genocide. Give Biden this: he went there, saw what’s happening, and wants to kill the fuckers who are doing it.
Richardson: Practical, statesmanlike, dull. He is so much better on paper than in person.
Dodd: Present! I wish I could say better. But I can’t. I wonder what he’d do with more airtime? He’s out in front of the others on so many things, but he didn’t really mention that tonight.
Kucinich: Escaped from his cage. Needs to run around in the wheel some more.
Gravel: Old coot.
Wow! Genghis! Drinking on a Sunday night?
Actually, I appreciate the frankness… Will you be so frank during Tuesday’s GOP debate?
And I should have known that you’d be impressed by Biden. It makes sense, given your awe for our current Governor…
Genghis were we watching the same debate?
I like Edwards, and I thought he gave some of the night’s better answers. I do admit to cracking up when he said that he didn’t know what a rich person was. Dude, look in the mirror.
Dodd got better as the night went on. What stupid questions he got though. Boycotting the Olympics? Seriously? I thought his best answer was about service.
Richardson left me unimpressed. Did you know that he’s a governor? He mentioned it at least 20 times. Maybe my expectations of him were just to high.
Obama and Clinton gave the best performances. And I don’t care what anyone says. I like Dennis.
Come on John Edwards !! here you go.
