You know, the only thing that’s innovative here is that CNN has picked out a bunch of people asking questions in YouTube videos… but the question selection is excellent. It’s as if CNN decided to allow the format to let them branch out question-wise. Why couldn’t the moderators ask those sorts of questions in past debates? They’re quite interesting.

Maybe it’s just that the people of the United States are smarter than Anderson Cooper and Wolf Blitzer.

Obama kind of smacked Dodd there when they were asked if they’d work for minimum wage. Yeah, Dodd is definitely doing all right.

Of course they wouldn’t work for minimum wage. Minimum wage sucks.

    That taxes video was great!

    >>Minimum wage sucks.

Illegals won’t work for min wage either; it’s only the floor for teenage grocery store bag boys, entry level dishwashers etc.

I haven’t seen all of the debate. But I thought Obama did very well, Hillary did mostly okay, Edwards seems like he’s trying too hard (but I just don’t like him, so my views are a bit biased), while Dodd didn’t seem to do so well at all.

Do the moderators of these debates know that Gravel is there to debate to? Or do they think he is just there to stand around and take up space?

At least those two are better than anyone at the MSNBC debates.

I think Hillary did a very good job, Edwards did as well. Dodd comes across as to angry. Obama was just okay.

I must admit, nothing is going as well as I thought it would for Dodd. And tonight’s debate was further evidence of that.

David Lightman’s Courant story last week portrayed Dodd as relaxed and comfortable with his campaign, regardless of the poll results and lack of fundraising success. But I don’t buy it.

    He’s frustrated.

I only saw a little bit of it. But what I saw reinforced my feelings on Barack (seems ok and a great speaker) and Hillary (I don’t see any way that I vote for her).

I still want Ron Paul for President though!

    Tim–

I’m with you — no way I can vote for Hillary — so hope she is the nominee!!

You have made no secret that you are a Ron Paul supporter. Think you can do something about all the illegally posted yard signs?

I’m talking about Danbury, Ridgefield, Wildon, Westport, to name a few towns. There are spots where there are 5 or 6 signs nailed to telephone poles.

It’s one thing to have a yard sign on someone’s private property — but on telephone polls isn’t helping your candidate.

(Maybe Huckabee put them up to piss people off).

1if… yeah. I agree. I don’t like the signs on telephone poles. And it is illegal, though largely unenforced. Anyway… I don’t put them on poles… I’d much rather stand on a street corner in the morning waving one of his signs!
