There’s an article about Sen. Gary LeBeau’s efforts to develop the economy in the Journal-Inquirer today.

And speaking of jobs, you can chat with Rob Simmons, our state’s business advocate, this Thursday at The Day’s site.

Jim Amann has a challenger.

CT News Junkie also has an interesting article about WFP’s efforts in Hartford to get their three-person slate elected to the council.

Courtney and Larson go after Bush on health care.

Shays says O’Connor should replace Gonzales. Why not? It would be a huge improvement.

From the Severe Bloating Department, the trans-fat ban Sen. McKinney proposed is apparently going nowhere as lawmakers lean towards letting restaurants decide for themselves. Good call.

What else is going on?

    DeLuca hearings on live now.

Already, I find it disturbing….pretty sure I saw Martin Looney turn his head…

I am home today and I just turned it on…Is Sen. Stillman wearing a wig?

I heard that an employee of the State Dept of Revenue Services had a laptop stolen out of his/her vehicle. That laptop contained 100,000 individual records containing personal information related to their income tax filings. DRS intends to send out a letter to all whose identities may be in jeopardy. DRS claims that the information on the laptop was not from one single source of tax filings….

So, what was an employee doing with this data on a state laptop in his/her car? Why was that data not secured?

Heard that MoveOn was done in Stamford, holding a protest in front of Joe Lieberman’s new Strawberry Hill condo. I guess the regular events at Joe’s place of residence will continue!

Good for them. Joe Lieberman isn’t a human being who deserves any privacy for him and his family. I bet they have lots of thoughtful things to say, too!

Gabe — Where is the promised post on Feltman’s forged petitions? I’d like to hear more on that….

Interesting contrast between Senate Republican caucuses…

    US Senate Republicans

Larry Craig plead guilty to a misdemeanor and his caucus (Mitch McConnell) immediately referred the incident to the Senate’s ethics committee.

    CT Senate Republicans

Lou DeLuca plead guilty to a misdemeanor and his caucus immediately…?

At least Dave Cappiello spoke out.

Anyone want to take bets on whether this project will be finished by the June 2009 “deadline”?

Depends if they hire some of Eddie’s friends to do the work.
