BREAKING: DeLauro to Endorse Obama

by Gabe · · 12 Comments

I just received word that Rep. Rosa DeLauro will endorse Barack Obama on Saturday (presumably at the Old State House with Reps. Murphy and Larson)… More as this develops…

… This is big news as Rep. DeLauro’s husband, pollster Stan Greenberg is the former pollster to President Clinton and the 3rd CD, as I mentioned yesterday about the 1st CD, has an odd number of delegates - someone will get an extra delegate out of the the 3rd and every little bit helps in a close election…

… Rep. DeLauro’s office will only confirm that she will make her endorsement tomorrow, but not who the endorsement will be for. The Hilltop Brigade, a group linked with Rep. DeLauro, emailed its membership this morning to let them know that the endorsement will be for Sen. Obama.

    THAT is HUGE!

People need to understand Rosa’s early work for Emily’s List to reckon the full ramifications.

Thank you Congresswoman for taking this step towards moving America fully into the 21st Century!

Is that where you think the train goes?

After a dramatic weakening of our defenses, I think it winds up here.

Hell hath no fury like a pollster scorned.

    Hi ACR!

You want to tell us where the GOP’s youth movement is?

Can’t wait for a 72yr old John McCain to run a Bob Dole repeat campaign…

    Hi TB

    Right now? (glancing at watch)
    Mediterranean History class I think.

No - I don’t want to tell you about Ron Paul.

Seems like most Obama supporters are consumers of some of these products.

Maybe it’s me - but the whole Obama movement looks and sounds very Gene McCarthy to me.

I am with TrueBlue on this one. McCain ‘08 will definitely be just like Dole ‘96. In fact, isn’t it odd that in the last 16 years the “military” candidate has lost every time? (GHWB ‘92, Dole ‘96, Kerry ‘04) It seems to me that military service just doesn’t propel a candidate the way it used to.

The above holding true, I think the ‘08 election is proving to be a repeat of ‘76: a true liberal versus a moderate establishment Republican. We all know how that turned out!

Interesting, the Obama Campaign is looking for surrogates to read a message from him in their Church on Sunday morning.

I guess, there are churches that will permit such a message to be read.

Most any UCC affiliate will do it.

I don’t agree with it and changed denominations (after 18 generations) over that sort of thing.

However I would defend any churches right to behave in any fashion they like in that regard; but the IRS doesn’t and could question their non-profit tax exempt status.

Yes we do - darn near ruined the country.
Gas lines, a prime rate that approached usury, hostages held for ages, and a badly weakened national defense.

Thanks for reminding the younger people here!
