While Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton roll toward the Democratic National Convention still locked in battle, the stripping of delegates by the DNC from Florida and Michigan as a result of holding their primaries early has now taken on greater significance.
First, let’s all get past our shock at the Democratic party disenfranchizing their own voters in two states from the process of selecting a candidate… the remarkable party of inclusion is so cold! Sniff sniff!
Thank mercy, a solution has ben suggested by none other than Connecticut’s own Senator and former candidate Chris Dodd! Dodd has suggested splitting the delegates right down the middle between Obama and Clinton. Wow wee, doesn’t that sound fair? Dodd, an Obama supporter, clearly wouldn’t be angling for his candidate… particularly since Obama wasn’t even on the ballot in Michigan.
So… I’m curious… what do you Democrats out there think would be a fair and equitable solution to the Florida / Michigan delegate solution and why? We want to hear from you!
