Connecticut Local Politics

The DCCC has released its list of targeted races, and, unsurprisingly, the three usual suspects from Connecticut are on it.

The 4th District is obviously a big target, as Shays is the last House Republican left standing in New England and the Democrats are apparently completists. Who knew? Shays is listed as a “Roadblock Republican,” and doesn’t even merit a picture. Jim Himes is listed as a “Red to Blue” candidate

The 2nd and 5th Districts are also here, and list Murphy and Courtney as “Frontline Democrats” who need defending.

The NRCC has targeted Chris Murphy, but has not to my knowledge released a list of Republicans who will be defended. I imagine that they’ll be here to support Shays as well as Cappiello and Sean Sullivan, should get within striking distance of Joe Courtney (it would be foolish to think that he wouldn’t, in this district).
