There was a message from Joe Courtney on my answering machine today, inviting me to a special town hall to be held by telephone tomorrow night. Basically, all I have to do is wait by the phone until I get a call with instructions–or I could call in directly by dialing (877) 229-8493 and entering the following entry code: 13035 beginning five minutes before the scheduled start of the call. From a release sent out by the congressman’s office:
Congressman Courtney believes that the best way to continue addressing the concerns of his constituents is to be as accessible as possible, and to hear directly from them. Embracing this new and innovative technology will allow the Congressman to interact with thousands of residents during one event.
The town hall will run from 7:20 - 8:20 tomorrow evening, and is open to all 2nd district residents. Rep. Chris Murphy, not to be upstaged, did the same thing yesterday for 5th district residents.
I will try to call in, and I’ll let you know how it goes.
