I’m liveblogging at the Bleak Bear in South Norwalk at the Jim Himes Election Day party. I’ll update this post with words and pictures as things develop (I got here a little early, because I get hungry). There is a news 12 truck outside so if you are in their coverage area, you can watch coverage there. If you are in the neighborhood, stop by and say hi!

First rResults (not official numbers) – Himes up 88-11 with 17% reporting 89-10 with 23% reporting 88-11 with 68 75 80% reporting.

…And the first politician in the door award goes to … Stamford Mayor Dan Malloy!

…Two things: The house is packed and Jim Himes just arrived (9:00ish to a standing O).

…In addition to Mayor Malloy, George Jepson, Bruce Morris, John Hartwell, and Gerry Fox are in attendance.

…From the turnabout is fair play department, here is CTBob:

…Party winding down here. CTBob will have interviews with Jim Himes, Mayor Malloy, and Senate candidate John Hartwell. Unless something earth-shattering happens in the next hour, I’ll end on this anecdote. Jim Himes came outside to film his interview with CTBob where two 20somethings were good-naturedly grousing about the cancellation of the beerpong tonight for the party. Jim started talking to them and five minutes later had convinced his first two voters of the general election. Unconfirmed reports say they were later spotted later wearing Himes stickers.
