Connecticut Local Politics

A disturbing piece of mail was sent recently to a member of the Fairfield County clergy, urging him to devote a sermon to the connection between Same-Sex Marriage, Obama, Islam, and Child Sacrifice (Oh, you didn’t know? Duh.). Enclosed in the package was a DVD copy of the widely ridiculed anti-Muslim propaganda film, Obsession, and a sample sermon, in case you want to link anything you disagree with with child sacrifice, but you aren’t sure how.

Given that the mailing address (covered in the below pictures) referred to the former spiritual leader of his organization, it is likely that this was a mass mailing to all of Connecticut’s clergy off of an old mailing list.

It goes without saying, or at least it should, that there is no connection between Same-Sex Marriage, Islam, Child Sacrifice, and any political candidate of any party. This kind of filth has no place in Connecticut (without any information, I feel comfortable saying that this weekend’s sermons were unlikely to have included child sacrifice as subject matter). If you encounter it, call it for what it is, rank bigotry. /rant
