According to this FEC filing from October 23rd, Jim Himes loaned his campaign $100,000 last week.
In fact, according to this page, Himes has loaned his campaign $200,000 total. Signs of trouble, or just a big push to the finish?
I can’t help but think of Ned Lamont, who loaned his campaign considerable sums despite strong fundraising. It worked in the primary, but not in the general. Will it work for Himes now?
Update: A difference I should point out is that Lamont did a lot of self-financing in the beginning, and all the way through. Himes, while he has contributed some money to his campaign in the past, has never really self-financed.
