10:34pm: Jarjura wins in Waterbury by an unofficial total of 186 votes.

10:00pm: A recount is needed in Cromwell.

9:18pm: The Rep-Am reports that Morris First Selectman Karen D. Paradis defeated her GOP opponent by 3 votes.

9:13pm: I’m getting a report that Scott Jackson is the big winner tonight in the Hamden Democratic mayoral primary.

9:09pm: It may be an hour or so before all absentee votes are counted in Waterbury. It looks like Jarjura may have squeaked by, but nothing is actually known.

8:51pm: Only in Briddgeport has results from Bridgeport primaries. A good night there for endorsed candidates and incumbents.

8:50pm: We won’t know about Waterbury for another half hour or so.

8:45pm: Carol Manning the winner of the Dem nomination for first selectman in Old Saybrook.

8:36pm: Rep-Am shows Gormley over DeAngelis in Middlebury. This was a GOP race for first selectman.

8:28pm: Waterbury is CLOSE. Jarjura may be leading by as few as 6 votes with no absentees counted.

8:25pm: The New Haven Independent is posting results of primaries in New Haven.

8:20pm: Never mind, it looks like Jarjura is winning–barely–with no absentee votes counted yet. Jarjura is supposed to have won those.

8:16pm: A rough tally, according to WATR (which has great local election coverage, by the way, you can listen to them online) suggests that Vance is barely leading the race with only a few districts yet to report in.

8:15pm: No way to tell who is ahead in the Vance/Jarjura race, but turnout was in the basement. Some polling places saw fewer than 50 voters today.

8:10pm: Listening to WATR. The race between Vance and Jarjura is very close. Turnout seems like it was very low.

8:00pm: Polls are closed. Watch this space for more.

In Waterbury there was a problem at one of the voting districts. WATR has ended its election coverage, but I’m hearing that the vote numbers are very fluid. It could be Jarjura by 6, it could also be Vance by 6. All depends who you ask.
