Democracy in Action: Coming to a Library Near You

August 20, 2007 on 9:45 am | In Hartford, History & Politics |

Hartford Public Library constantly hosts forums, trainings, and events that are open and free to the public.

On Wednesday, August 29th, there will be a City Council Candidates Forum. This begins around 6pm. Haven’t seen much mudslinging in this contest yet.
On Thursday, September 6th at 6pm, there will be a Mayoral Candidates Forum. Guess the first one didn’t count? The primary voting will be held on the following Tuesday. With loophole petition laws potentially weeding out some of the candidates, this time around is bound to be a smaller event. Bring your baby to be kissed by a candidate of your choosing, and please, manners.

For the full listing of upcoming Democracy in Action events, see the Hartford Public Library website.
